Saint Elizabeth Parish Respect Life Group

The Catholic Church stands strongly in support of all life, recognizing the dignity of each person created in the divine image of God. From the moment of conception to the time of natural death, we are challenged to uphold the rights of everyone and work without ceasing to protect the unborn, the mentally and physically handicapped, the frail elderly and dying, and those oppressed and/or in prison.

The Saint Elizabeth Parish Respect Life Group meets monthly from September through May. The members are pro-active in their effort to educate, support and challenge all of God's people in their regard for human life. Their support of the pro-life movement is unshakeable.

Pastoral Council

In accordance with Canon #536 of the universal Code of Canon Law, "after the diocesan bishop has listened to the presbyteral (priest) council and judges it opportune, a Pastoral Council is to be established in each parish; the pastor presides over it, and through it the Christian faithful, along with those who share in the pastoral care of the parish in virtue of their office, give their help in fostering pastoral activity.”

The Saint Elizabeth Parish Pastoral Council meets 6 times a year. In their responsibility as consultors to the pastor from whom he seeks advise, they prayerfully study and discuss ways in which to grow the spiritual bonds of the parish. By way of a Pastoral Plan they look to the future with goals and objectives that are in keeping with the Mission Statement of Saint Elizabeth Parish.

The current membership of the Saint Elizabeth Parish Pastoral Council includes Debi Bakowski, Tom Bakowski, Jay Black, Carolyn Bourgeois, Wayne Cass, Maureen Crossen, Fr. Dale DeNinno, Dominick DeSalvo, Lisa DiVito, Angie Morini, Janice Niccolai, Gary Remlinger and Richard Urban.

Finance Council

Canon #537 of the universal Code of Canon Law mandates that "each parish is to have a Finance Council which is regulated by universal law as well as by norms issued by the diocesan bishop; in this council the Christian faithful, selected according to the same norms, aid the pastor in the administration of the parish goods.”

The Saint Elizabeth Parish Finance Council meets on a quarterly basis in order to prepare and manage with the pastor the annual budgets for the parish and school; they review monthly reports of revenue and expenses; and they attend to any extraordinary matters as they relate to the operation of the parish, including capital expenditures.

The current membership of the Saint Elizabeth Parish Finance Council includes Mark Bronder, Fr. Dale DeNinno, Peter Diulus, John Echement, George Liotus, George Pry and John Schmotzer.
